It is the world’s leading indoor waterpark located at 710,000 sq feet.
You can visit this place, if you go to Briesen/Brand, part of Halbe in Dahme-Spreewald which is about 60 km south-southeast of Berlin. It lies inside an empty hangar 360 meters long, 210 meters wide and 107 meters high. It is one of the biggest buildings on Earth by volume and is equipped with largest single hall without supporting pillars.
The hangar was actually commissioned by Cargolifter AG as an airship hangar named Aerium and costed about €78 million but the airship never got built.
The Malaysian Tanjong company took advantage and bought the hangar and the adjacent real estate for €17.5 million . It was later transformed into a resort with a man-made tropical environment.
This resort was opened to the public on December 19, 2004. The rainforest, beach, artificial sun, palm trees, and orchids were adored by the people who love nature. The temperature of the wonderful place is kept warmer up to 25 °C (77 °F) and it is open all day, each day of the year.
