  • Ussain Bolt

    The very first image of an awesome athlete that comes in mind is Ussain Bolt. Who in this world can forget his sculptured frame soaring through the track in 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games breaking records in this process? Over the last 4 years he has been virtually undefeated in one of his pet events the 100 m dash.
  • Michael Phelps

    By setting world records in innumerable swimming events and winning a big lot of medals in 2008,2012 Olympics, Michael Phelps is one of the memorable athletes in Olympic history. This excellent swimmer was a very tall guy (above six feet). Because of this height advantage he was able to take strong & long swimming strokes.

    In the 2004 Athens Olympics, three Ethiopian Runners (in their 10,000 meter race), proved their class as well as their ability. People especially athlete’s representing countries like Kenya, Morocco, Ethiopia have some advantages because of the rugged terrain of their respective countries. Usually you could discover their blood to be full of hemoglobin; it helps to transport the oxygen throughout their body, which in turn provides excess fuel for such a long race.

    During the high jump event in Olympic Games 2004 Stefan Holm (Swedish athlete) crossed his endurance limit to win the gold medal. His remarkable fitness can be attributed to his intense training regime. This puts him in the preference list of famous athletes.

    Hepathelon is one of the toughest events known to everyone in the Olympic Games. It takes a lot of stamina, courage and endurance for an athlete to complete this discipline let alone win anything. One such remarkable athlete is Jackie Joyner Kersee. She is counted among one of the greatest athletes of all times. She had won a bunch of gold and silver medals in the Olympics and World Championships between 1988 and 1996.

On an average a diver has not more than three seconds between when they leave the board and hit the water. Hence in order to make a perfect dive they need to practice the same routines hundreds and hundreds of times even before they can think of competing at the highest level. The list of such athletes goes on and on. The common thread among all of them is their commitment to perfection and dedication to their craft which makes them the best of all times.
