When we talk of the 2012 Olympics game being held in London, this structure seems to be the coolest one ever with its enduring and striking features. The London Olympic Indoor Veldrome is impressive, detailed, accurately designed along a green structure, great architectural wonder which has been made and constructed on the old home of the east way cycling track.
Let’s look at some of the detailing and find out the different venues and its specifications

The Veldrome-A Green Indoors
Being the largest structure to be completed for the games, this saddle like building is a true work of great efforts built beautifully with natural cooling, arrangement for rain water harvesting and maximum use of natural day lighting. This was an important point while designing the structure to boost the need for green design, energy saving and cost effectiveness. The use of light, simple building materials which are not so costly made it easy to manage the expenses well within the budget. The cedar clad skin of the saddle allows cooling of the interiors with its perforated design. The flow of air from above and below allows cool air to circulate across the 6000 spectator seats. The white roofs are placed strategically to allow natural daylight which in turn reduces the cost on lighting expenditure which otherwise is a big expenses for such magnificent structure thereby reducing lighting expenditures. The roof also holds on the rain water which is stored and later reused in the faculty. A wonderful panoramic view over the Olympic Park.
